COVID-19 Workshop Protocols

Taylor Photography postponed all in-person events at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 when stay-at-home orders were implemented. With the proliferation of vaccines and COVID cases on a significant downturn, we have resumed operations for 2021.

Mike and Sonia are very fortunate in that they both received the two necessary shots of the Pfizer vaccine in February 2021.

The Team at Taylor Photography is closely monitoring the situation concerning impacts of the coronavirus and we will continue to make decisions based on the recommendations of the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as local health departments.

Safety First: the safety and well-being of our participants is always our primary concern. We want all participants to enjoy their workshop experience while feeling comfortable that their risk of infection will be minimized. With that in mind, these are the protocols we have put in place for the foreseeable future:

• Please alter your greetings by simply saying hello instead of shaking hands or hugging.

• Masks will be required for all participants and workshop leaders when we are in close proximity for group meetings or when we give 1-on-1 instruction. Masks will not be required on hikes or shooting locations where we can appropriately spread out. We will have extra masks if needed, but we ask that you please bring your own.

• Participants and instructors must practice social distancing recommendations. If you need help with your camera we will ask you to step away momentarily. This will likely change depending on the CDC guidelines for participants who have been vaccinated.

• We will provide hand sanitizer that can be used while we are out in the field or meeting as a group but if you can provide your own that would certainly be helpful.

• On most of our workshops, we provide classroom instruction which is usually held in a relatively small meeting room. For upcoming workshops, we will try to reserve larger conference rooms than we normally would to ensure we can maintain proper social distancing and ventilation. If we are unable to reserve a larger room, we may need to conduct shorter classroom instruction, processing sessions, etc in an outdoor location.

• Participants are encouraged to drive their own vehicle or limit carpooling to participants  from the same household. This will likely change depending on the CDC guidelines for participants who have been vaccinated.

• We are discouraging indoor group meals during this time, and the instructors will not be participating in indoor group meals as we normally would. This will likely change depending on the CDC guidelines for participants who have been vaccinated.

• If you are not feeling well prior to the workshop, please do not attend. If you need to cancel, even on the day of the event, we will be happy to transfer your full balance to a future workshop of your choice.

Thanks for doing your part to make our workshops safe.
