76 frames at 30 seconds each stacked to make star trails at Sanborn Pond in central Maine - the water was smooth as glass, the fog was slowly rolling in and the reflections of the stars were amazing.
The Milky Way is reflected in the calm waters at the Dunn Point boat launch in Lily Bay State Park at Moosehead Lake, Maine. This shot was taken while I was scouting locations for future night photography workshops with my good friend and frequent workshop collaborator Aaron Priest. I liked the idea of including his camera gear in this image, the essential tools of the professional astrophotographer. The reflections are 100% real and this was accomplished using ISO 6400.
